How would you describe your job at REAC?
I work in the office, with customer service. My role is to be the first contact for our customersโto take orders, make sure we can deliver on time, and arrange transportation, both to and from customers. I support other departments when they have logistics-related questions. I also coordinate the sample process, from design to shipment to customer, including tasks such as updating the sample tracker, monthly KPIs, and presenting order status in weekly meetings.
What do you like most about your job?
The interaction with our customers. I enjoy working in an international environment, with people from around the world, such as China, USA and European countries. I like to build a cooperative relationship that is both friendly and professional. Our customers help me help them, so that we can keep our service at the highest standard.
What is the hardest part of your job?
If I have to tell someone that a product canโt be shipped quite as soon as theyโd like. I donโt like to let people down.
What keeps you motivated during the workday?
The atmosphereโworking with people makes me happy. Shipping on time and making customers happyโmaking REAC their favorite supplier. Knowing that I help improve peopleโs quality of life also motivates me.
How did you start working at REAC?
I had just come back to Poland after living in England for a couple of years, when I saw a job offer that was similar to my previous work. My first role at REAC was to support the planning department when we were in the process of moving our production from Sweden to Poland. Then I got the opportunity to help with customer service. It was a chance to learn new skills and work internationally. I also stepped in as purchasing manager for two years, filling in for a colleague on maternity leave. Iโm grateful for the confidence from REAC, for the oppportunities to learn and grow.
How do you think your co-workers would describe you?
As a happy and good person. And quietโI donโt like the spotlight. Iโd rather do my job well in the background. Iโm willing to try new things, learn, improve and grow. I like teaching too.
What brings you joy in everyday life?
EverythingโIโm a positive person. I appreciate having time for my hobbies and seeing people around me in good health. The changes of the seasons in nature also bring me joy.
What do you like to do when youโre not working?
I love hiking and cycling in nature. Sometimes, I ride MTB (mountain bike). In August, I participated in Human Machine, a night-time event where you ride 200 km through forests, on dirt, roads and gravel roads, to challenge yourself. Great fun! I like the freedom, the speed and being in contact with nature. It lets me be healthy and on the move. Even when I go on holiday, I donโt like staying still on the beach, I want to be active. I like watching thrillers and listening to podcasts too.
Do you have any talent or hobby that might surprise people?
Everyone knows that I like cycling and hiking, and that I gave up eating meat eight years ago. But they donโt know about my photography. I used to take a lot of photos a few years ago, but lately I havent had the time. And itโs so easy to just use the phone instead of bringing a real camera. At the company where I worked before, I built a small photo studio and photographed our products. They used my photos for both printed material and on their website and social media.
Do you have a โhappy placeโ?
I like to be in nature, in the mountains and valleys, where I can feel free and see the beauty of the world. But the most important place is my home, with my family. Itโs my safe place, where Iโm surrounded by the most important people in my life.
If you could have any three people as dinner guests, who would you invite?
My dad is my first choice, for sure. He died eight years ago. The other two would also be members of my family. It would be so good just to have dinner together again.
Do you have any role models in life?
Growing up, I had idols that I admired from afar. Like my favorite football player back thenโPatrick Kluivert. As a teenager, I played fotball on a local team, and I would play whenever I could, even in snowy winter. These days, I donโt have any idols. Maybe Iโm too old for that? I focus on living my life, without comparing myself to other people.
Do you have any dreams that you would like to fulfill?
My only dream is to have a happy, long life with my family. Anything else can be achieved.
