The garden is our CNC foreman’s charging station

Ania Herba is always moving forward — learning, improving, and enjoying the progress of her co-workers as well as the whole company. She says her co-workers probably think she’s demanding and determined.

How would you describe your job at REAC?
I’m a CNC foreman, which means I coordinate work at the CNC milling machine, ensuring that the work is being done correctly and that we produce good quality. I also train new employees.

What do you like most about your job?
The best part is the possiblity to help my co-workers learn and evolve, as well as improving myself. I like to learn and to motivate people.

What is the hardest part of your job?The biggest challenge is making decisions when there is pressure from others. It’s important to build trust eand engagent from my co-workers.

What keeps you motivated during the workday?
Achieving goals, and seeing the progress of the company. And it’s nice to see our products in use, outside the company. It’s just a great feeling.

How did you end up in this profession and at this company?
A few years ago I was at an event where companies in our city opened up to the public. I didn’t know about REAC before, but I visited the factory, and I thought it seemed better than the place where I was working at the time. I decided to apply for a job, and the rest is history!

How do you think your co-workers would describe you?
Demanding, consistent,and stubborn. Goal-oriented.

What brings you joy in everyday life?
My garden, both working and just spending time there. My dog Kokos, a mixed breed. And my family, that’s the most important thing.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Gardening, of course. And reading crime novel. Robin Cook is my favorite author.

Do you have a “happy place”?
My home, and especially the garden. It’s where I go to recharge my batteries. I started garde-ning about ten years ago, and I love seeing how it keeps changing, depending on when I’m
there — after the rain or in the sun. The garden never stays the same.

If you could have any three people as dinner guests, who would you invite? I’d want to see my parents and my grandparents again. I’d make the time stand still and just enjoy being with them, hugging them, sharing a special potato casserole that we all like.

Do you have any role models in life? Someone that you admire or who inspires you?
I can’t name a particular individual, but there are characteristics that are important to me, such as honesty, patience, and the ability to make good decisions.

Do you have any dreams that you would like to fulfill? When I retire, I want to travel to Italy, and the Netherlands. I like their culture—the gardens and the architecture. I’d also like to read all of my favorite author’s books. I’ve already read many, but not all.

The purpose of REAC’s products is to help people improve their quality of life.
What does quality of life mean to you?
When my family and everyone that I care about are happy. I have two children, and I want them to have a good life.
